SUPERFECTA RECORDINGS REISSUES FLESH FOR LULU'S CLASSIC 1987 ALBUM
LONG LIVE THE NEW FLESH AUGUST 12th

LOS ANGELES, CA (June 1, 2003) - Hollywood based Superfecta Recordings will re-release Brit rockers Flesh For Lulu's breakthrough album Long Live The New Flesh on August 12, 2003.

Long Live The New Flesh opened America's ears to this headstrong post-punk post-goth quartet from Brixton, England. Originally released in 1987, Flesh For Lulu's third and most memorable album is revived on Superfecta Recordings digitally remastered and completed with four bonus tracks that have never been released on CD. It includes the hits I Go Crazy (originally released as the lead track from the John Hughes film Some Kind of Wonderful), Postcards From Paradise and the boisterous rock classic Siamese Twist. It also includes rare never-before-seen photos of the band and brand new liner notes penned by Flesh vocalist Nick Marsh.

"Personally, I think it's a great idea for Superfecta to reissue this record 'cause people are always hassling me about how they can't find it in any record stores, so, problem solved, here it is," commented Marsh in the album's liner notes.

Flesh For Lulu built their initial reputation in London's "Batcave" scene. The original line-up consisted of vocalist/guitarist Nick Marsh, drummer James Mitchell, guitarist Rocco Barker (formerly of Wasted Youth), and bassist Glen Bishop. In 1984 Flesh For Lulu recorded their official first full-length album. For their third album Glen Bishop departed and was replaced by Kevin Mills. The group attracted the attention of legendary UK indie-label Beggars Banquet and subsequently signed to Capitol Records in the United States. Long Live The New Flesh proved a formidable success and launched Flesh For Lulu into the ranks of mainstream American culture.

Nick Marsh recently completed his first solo album co-produced by Katherine Blake of Miranda Sex Garden. The album captures his dark cabaret-style sound, bittersweet lyrics and distinctive vocals. Note to editors: For interviews with Nick please use the above contact information.

Additional releases scheduled on Superfecta Recordings in 2003 include The Colourfield - Virgins & Philistines (+ 5 bonus tracks) and a singles collection from New Model Army. Lookng forward to 2004 Superfecta has releases scheduled from Heaven 17, Philip Oakey & Giogrio Moroder, Secession, Howard Devoto and many others.
