SUPERFECTA RECORDINGS
Springs to Life with Roster of '80s Reissues & Rare Material
Superfecta Inks Distribution Deal with Ryko Distribution/MRI
First Releases Scheduled for June 3, 2003: Cabaret Voltaire & Del Amitri

LOS ANGELES, CA (March 31, 2003) - Jason Fiber (World Domination, Wherehouse Music) announces the launch of Hollywood-based Superfecta Recordings, a new label featuring an eclectic roster of 1980's alternative music reissues, including rare and unreleased material. This is the first time that many of the Superfecta releases have become available domestically, and many have long languished out of print.
Fiber notes, "As an avid music fan, I found myself waiting impatiently for certain influential 1980s alternative music titles to be released or reissued on CD. Realizing that the odds of this happening were growing dimmer by the minute, I decided to take matters into my own hands, founded Superfecta Recordings, and rescue them from certain obscurity".
Superfecta Recordings will be distributed by Ryko Distribution/MRI, most recently known its success with the String Cheese Incident, Projekt Records and Terminus Records. MRI is a distribution company owned by Megaforce Records (original home to Metallica, Anthrax, Ace Frehley and many others). MRI joined forces with Ryko Distribution in 1997 to form MRI Associated labels.
Missi Callazzo, President, adds, "We at Ryko/MRI are pleased to be working with Superfecta Recordings and are excited that they are bringing so many influential titles back to life."
Superfecta Recordings first two titles are scheduled for release on June 3, 2003.
- Cabaret Voltaire - The Original Sound of Sheffield '83 -'87 (Best of) Originally on Some Bizarre/Virgin overseas, it is the first time this seminal recording is available as a domestic release on any format.
- Del Amitri's self-titled '85 debut. This reissue includes 4 never-before released on CD bonus tracks, new liner notes written by lead vocalist Justin Currie and has not been available in the U.S. for nearly 10 years, other then as an import.
Additional releases scheduled for 2003 include Flesh For Lulu - Long Live The New Flesh, The Colourfield - Virgins & Philistines, and the first CD release ever of the original soundtrack from the motion picture Bachelor Party with unreleased material from Oingo Boingo, The Alarm and R.E.M.
Label owner and President, Jason Fiber has spent the past 13 years in the music industry holding executive positions in a variety of companies including World Domination, Wherehouse Music, iXL and Amplified Holdings.
